This is the miraculous Shrine of Guadalupe in Mexico.
I'm flying with friends in a few hours. (Naturally, I'm *still*
packing my stuff.)
I pray that our trips would be safe, uneventful; I pray that everyone
would have a great time and come back in one piece.
God bless our trips :)
P.S. Three days to go before I turn 30. xoxo

This garlic mushroom thingy (fairly delicious) is served at Pig Out in Nuvali in Santa Rosa, Laguna. ;-)

The sun always makes a unique exit at the end of the day.
Some sunsets are more dramatic, more special than others. This still image, taken through a glass window, is one of those more dramatic, more special exits.
I could have done better in capturing the moment, but I'm still very slow in adjusting my manual settings. (Practice, practice, practice.)

My father's very old phonograph player was transformed into a mere cabinet.
NTS: I should take a photo of the whole thing!

Gorgeous full moon tonight (January 30). This shot was taken from the apartment hallway at 20:49 (GMT +8).
I drew a card twice; I got the King of Wands and 10 of Cups.
According to
www.learntarot.com, the cards I drew are best associated to the following words:
King of Wands - CREATIVE, INSPIRING, FORCEFUL, CHARISMATIC, BOLD
Ten of Cups - JOY, PEACE, FAMILY
This is the last full moon of the Year of the Ox.
We are two weeks away from the start of the Year of the Tiger.

It was my first time to make some French toast.
Prepped it last night, baked it at 300 in the morning for 10 mins. Yummy.
I was in a great mood all day.

I'm in the mood for a bit of haiku. Here's somethin' from my sleepy muse. No promises. Just self-indulgence.
Take away the frosting / And everything it stands for / Nothing left to eat!

Aliwan Fiesta was first observed in Manila in 2003. It's a grand parade of representatives from different regions in the country, dressed in their own famous festival/regional costumes. Dancers and Cultural representatives for Dinagyang Festival of Iloilo, Buyogan Festival of Leyte, Panagbenga Festival of Baguio, and many others were all there in the event.
I only got to watch the parade last year because a friend had heard about it and urged us to see it. He got so excited because it was a great opportunity to "street test" his newly purchased camera.
(Update) "Aliwan Fiesta 2010 has been scheduled for April 22-24. Plans are being considered to involve the Mall or Asia as kick off point for the parade..." -- Source: http://aliwanfiesta.com.ph
